Condolence & Memory Journal

As a young teenager from California, I had the opportunity to experience life on a Kansas farm with family friend John Malm, Mildred and Tilly between school sessions. One of the more memorable individuals I was introduced to and worked with that summer was Wilmer. At first he was hard to figure as he was so quiet but he outworked everyone in such a focused yet cheerful manner I quickly grew to respect him immensely.

I apologize for being supremely late. I found this site doing research for a cross country motorcycle tour that will include a stop in McPherson where I will indulge in a bit of reminiscing in the town my grandparents, Walfred and Karin Johnson (Elofson), are buried.

Candle

Dear Hazel,

You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you comfort as you go through this most difficult time. Wilmer will me missed by all.

Visits to visit family in Kansas when I was small were always such fun! I have such fond memories of Uncle Wilmer in his bib overalls, telling corny Swedish jokes, and always with an impish grin on his face. He will be greatly missed by all.
With deepest sympathy to Aunt Hazel, all family and friends.

Wilmer was always a sweetheart when he came in to the insurance office. He was one of a kind! Our thoughts and prayers are with you Hazel and family.
