Cynthia Ann (Kail) Stockham, 67, of McPherson, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012. She was a retired day-care provider and former manager of the jewelry department at Wal-Mart.

She was born January 14, 1945, in McPherson, the daughter of Billy J. and Shirley J. (Norris) Kail. She attended the local McPherson schools and graduated from McPherson High School in the class of 1963. As a young lady, she was active in the Rainbow Girls and other community organizations. She was a former member of the First Christian Church.

On September 16, 1963, she was united in marriage to Ronald Lee Stockham at Hutchinson, Kansas. Born to this union were three children, Kevin, Kimberly, and Kelly. Ron passed away on October 5, 2002, following a brief illness.

Survivors include: three children, Kevin Stockham and wife, Tammie, of McPherson, Kimberly Smith of McPherson, and Kelly Stockham and wife, Carrie, of McPherson; a brother, Steve Kail and wife, Jeanne, of McPherson; and seven grandchildren, Kyle, Korina, Tashley, Kassidy, Stevie, Keaten, and Kail; and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Shirley Kail.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 24, 2012, at McPherson Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Stockham Family Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Memorial donations may be given to McPherson County Humane Society in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
