Jimmy Lee Flood, Jr., 53, of McPherson, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012, at his home in McPherson. He worked for Hutchinson Correctional Facility for over 22 years, most recently as the Printshop Supervisor. Prior to that, he owned and operated the Gambler Bar & Casino in McPherson.
Jimmy was born on July 25, 1958, in McPherson, Kansas, the son of Jimmy Lee, Sr. and Glova Ruth (Linaweaver) Flood. He graduated from McPherson High School in 1977 and was a lifetime McPherson resident. On December 22, 1987, he was united in marriage to Gina S. (Ensz) Robertson in Miami, OK.
Jimmy was a member of the Galva Christian Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Gina of the home; daughters, Jennifer Flood of Kansas City, Melissa Schamp (Shane) of Galva, KS, and Molly Flood of McPherson, KS; parents, Jim & Glova Flood of Many, LA; grandchildren, Cora and Kustom Schamp of Galva, KS; sisters, Tammy Ek (Steve) of Many, LA and Debbie Flood of Many, LA; father-in-law & mother-in-law, Robert & Jo Ensz of McPherson, KS.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vera & Forest Linaweaver and Robbie & Bert Flood.
The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the First Christian Church in McPherson, with Rev. Tripp Edwards officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, January 30, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Cremation will take place after the service and inurnment to follow at a later date.
Memorial donations may be given to Pleasant View Home (Inman) or the McPherson Office of Hospice Care of Kansas in care of Stockham Family Funeral Home, 205 North Chestnut, McPherson, KS 67460.
